"You must love all that God has created, both His entire world and each tiny little sand grain of it, then your mind will open itself to an all embracing love." Fyodor Dostoyevsky

My Heart Cry's...

The song goes, "If ever I need Thee, my Jesus tis now..."  God always knows when I need Him...
Here is where I come to share those personal moments... here in my secret spot... away from everyone, away from the world...
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away... but here He gave just what I needed... as always... may each of you who read these precious words know that He led you here today as well... they are as much for you as they were for me...

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."  1 Peter 5:7
"It is a happy way of soothing sorrow when we can feel-"HE careth for me." Christian! do not dishonour religion by always wearing a brow of care; come, cast your burden upon your Lord. You are staggering beneath a weight which your Father would not feel. What seems to you a crushing burden, would be to him but as the small dust of the balance. Nothing is so sweet as to
"Lie passive in God’s hands,
And know no will but his."

O child of suffering, be thou patient; God has not passed thee over in his providence. He who is the feeder of sparrows, will also furnish you with what you need. Sit not down in despair; hope on, hope ever. Take up the arms of faith against a sea of trouble, and your opposition shall yet end your distresses. There is One who careth for you. His eye is fixed on you, his heart beats with pity for your woe, and his hand omnipotent shall yet bring you the needed help. The darkest cloud shall scatter itself in showers of mercy. The blackest gloom shall give place to the morning. He, if thou art one of his family, will bind up thy wounds, and heal thy broken heart. Doubt not his grace because of thy tribulation, but believe that he loveth thee as much in seasons of trouble as in times of happiness. What a serene and quiet life might you lead if you would leave providing to the God of providence! With a little oil in the cruse, and a handful of meal in the barrel, Elijah outlived the famine, and you will do the same. If God cares for you, why need you care too? Can you trust him for your soul, and not for your body? He has never refused to bear your burdens, he has never fainted under their weight. Come, then, soul! have done with fretful care, and leave all thy concerns in the hand of a gracious God."  Charles Spurgeon

Oh, That He Would Come

It always seems as my soul is weary I turn here... it's kind of my secret spot... where I can come and cry and share...

Life is so full of trials and the decisions we make in our life will have such intense ramifications.  I too often do the, "if only..." stuff. It's not good, it's not fair to my God. I have made decisions and He has faithfully helped me through them.  As I try so hard to live for Him and do His will in my life, there is always something or someone that seems to get in the way...

There are several Cardinals in the garden eating away at the sunflowers we left for them... He brings them here so I can can have a bit of peace in their beauty... I love to watch the birds... their gracefulness... their serenity... they don't have a care, for they know their Creator will provide... That's why He brings them to me so often... a reminder that He will too provide for me because I am so much more important to Him...

Last night in bed after I read some Bible stories to the little boys and we said our bed time prayers, I lay there wishing for His return... to hear that mighty trumpet sound and to be taken up to Heaven to be with Him forever more... Then this morning when I was doing my devotions, He led me into Thessalonians... and there in chapter four were my prayers... a testimony that He heard me... to keep the faith... to keep pressing on and upward...

Oh my soul... I longeth for Thee oh God... come Lord Jesus come... This world holds nothing for me...

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. "  1 Thes. 4:16-18
